It’s 4:00. Still plugging away. Things are going well. I’ve mostly been setting up 3rd party accounts for YEA (facebook, twitter, etc) to integrate into the Wordpress install. Next step is to look into a profile plugin to Wordpress to be able to augment the user profiles to act as a CRM. Wee.
I’m writing from the Overnight Web Challenge from Sierra Bravo right now. It is their second annual programmer meets non-profit gig where a bunch of dorks work 24+ hours to make sites for non-profits.
This entry is about how I was able to fix SSH connections on my Mac OSX 10.4 from hanging at login. If non of this makes sense to you other than “Mac”, then you probably don’t need it. But since I had a hard time finding the solution, I figure I will write it down and let google try to pick it up for anyone else in search of a solution. Long story short, add records to your /etc/hosts file and SSH won’t waste time trying to resolve IP addresses. And go…
One of my other resolutions this year is to become more knowledgeable of a few things, especially some “toys” I have purchased over the years. I believe that if I don’t make good on learning them, I should probably just sell them.
Partly being broke, partly trying to be “green”, partly trying to be self sufficient, and party being paranoid of food shortages as part of some New World Order, I have wanted to start growing food for a while now. Last summer I proved that I can at least keep hastas alive. This summer, I will test it on veggies. I was raised helping my parents tend their garden so it is nothing really that new to me.
Part of my new years resolution was to work out more… probably like most people. However, for me, 2008 was decent in this area. I started off the year biking every day for an hour pretty consistently until midsummer when it was just too damn hot. At that point, I joined Anytime Fitness to get in shape for my halloween costume. As lame as it sounds, it was good motivator to start lifting weights again. Once Halloween passed, I pretty much continued to go three times per week until the holidays hit and got lax.
