I’m pretty sure looking the below foliage in my yard makes Arika randy. I’m impressed with the results so far since this is my first year gardening. My mom claims I have a green thumb. Meh. Main garden has cucumbers, cranberry beans, green onions, peas, spinach, and carrots. Beds surrounding the house contain big boy and cherry tomatoes, green peppers, purple and regular basil. The other beds have raspberries, squash, melons, beets, and rhubarb. Squirrels ate my strawberries. There are lots of flowery jive going on as well including my rose budding, the bleeding hearts, day and tiger lilys blooming, and some unknown things about to bloom.

After a little comedic back and forth yesterday at work starting with C.K.’s post about “Wolverine Being a Slut”, I decided to go as Sabretooth from the Xmen.

At the TV Correspondents dinner the other day, John Hodgeman (daily show, mac commercials, etc) spoke on Obama being our nerdiest president.

Red Hot Art Festival 2009 wrapped up last weekend. DIM Media set up shop with lots of your favorite pieces for sale. Mother nature apparently doesn’t like art and decided to rain all Saturday and be cold and windy on Sunday. In spite of the rain hundreds of people passed through Steven’s Square Park to enjoy the annual art and music festival. We got to hang out with some of our buddies, listen to some great bands and hand out free copies of our Coffee Crumbs ‘zine. We even did a bit of podcasting.

Oh…well hello there. My name is Joe Lipscomb and I am one of the many artists involved with Dim Media. Some call me Joey Toothbrush, others call me Jorilla, but you (wink wink)…can call me anytime you want before 10:00pm. I’m not promising I’ll pick up the phone, after all what kind of nation would we be if people didn’t screen their calls? We’d be a nation with an out of control phone bill, that’s what kind.

Loose rock rolls under his feet. It is difficult to walk without a staggering wobble. Everything can hear him approaching.Alley cats scurry in the night to hide. The dark figure staggers forward along the train tracks as if drunk. A steam engine howls in the distances or is that the quiet scream of an owl?
