For a long time now, I have had dreams and nightmares of black ooze. I have tried to embrace it… somewhat to address the visions and somewhat because, well… it is a neat vision. Perhaps it is some Jungian bit that is easily explainable, or at least a common dream. Either way, I have worked it into my comic The Surplus Bio-Freaks, into my ink work, and, heck, this site, “Swarling Black Mable,” is titled after my pet name for the ooze. I might have figured out my fascination.

Christmas is not one of my more favorite holidays. Last year I was stuck in a snowy wasteland without cigarettes fending off panic attacts over my tailbone surgery the next day. The year before I was home alone trying to figure out what to do about my truck being stolen then night before. Prior to that, I mostly pretended Christmas was just another day since my family didn’t get together on the 25th since my mom always worked.
Somehow I managed to stumble on to http://www.bluthfamily.com, a site with quotes from the show “Arrested Development”.
Today, I had a bit of a realization of how tough the times are.
The last few days at work I have been using the jquery ajaxform plugin extensively. The Malsup docs have been valuable. However, there have been certain things that I have had some issue with. It might be one of those “how do you google for things that do not exist”…
Here is a vid of us DIMmedia boys making our blacklight chandeliers for Shadow and Sound IV. I have to admit, for only a few hours of work and not really knowing what we were doing, they turned out slick!
