“Allusions to Interaction” at 2nd Moon through June

My “Allusions To Interaction” series is on display through the end of June at 2nd Moon Coffee shop on Franklin Ave in Minneapolis. The opening was in May, but you can still grab a delicious cup of coffee and check out my first solo show. Tell them Blaine sent you, and they will make your coffee extra awesome!

Workout Log – 5/27 (76.32 miles, 2701 cals)

I have been kicking ass and I feel a lot better. So I am going to try to continue biking daily. This week, similar to last, there isn’t much going on, so it will be a good little self-disipline challange. So far so good.

Layout Upgrade

I am in the process of upgrading my wordpress and the layout is borked. I will fix this shortly. Stay tuned…

Real Live Super Heroes

I have been listening to old episodes of the Podcaust for their Bi-Mi-Sci-Fi-Contest. In episode 16, they talk about “Reals” – aka. Real Life Super Heros. Pretty hilarious. Original article here. Awesome.

Workout Log for 5/18

Last week was pretty hectic it seems. I am hoping this week will be less so, however, my evenings appear to be filling up fast. Hopefully, the solution will be to weak up early and ride the bike. Yes. Good idea…. I also aired up my exercise ball that I bought when I was to have surgery last December. I was thinking I could use it as some sort of ball chair, but I hardly took the damn thing out of the box. Fixed.

More Nicotine Induced Nightmares

With the weather fluctuating a lot lately, I have developed a really bad chest cold. It started around Saturday and was really bad yesterday. Smoking hasn’t really helped either I am sure. Usually stress and anxiety are the biggest causes for me smoking, but I didn’t really have any last week now that my show is over, etc. With the nasty cold hitting, I decided I needed to stop smoking (again). I told myself before I would quit before the last snow fall… which didn’t happen. Now I am saying that there is no way in hell that I am smoking at my new place. So last night, I drank a bunch of water, slapped on a nicotine patch, and descended into a  black murky sleep of nicotine induced nightmares…

I love 2nd Moon

I love 2nd moon. I telecommute and seasonally go work at the 2nd Moon (I don’t like to leave the house in the winter unless there is specific stuff to do like concerts or get-togethers). I started going there again regularly this week. And while my friend Veronica joking called me an egomaniac for being there a lot lately (since my paintings are up), I really is a humble atmosphere. Granted around mid-afternoon all the college kids come in to study, which usually adds a bit to the pretentious vibe that is stereotypical of urban coffeeshops. However, the majority of the time, it is people from the chill Seward neighborhood and lends itself to a very pleasant atmosphere reminiscent of  my great homeland of Northern ‘Skani.
