Through wikipedia, I was enlightened on the movie industry term Alan Smithee. I’ll let you read for yourself. It appears this chap has made a lot of movies.
As an aside, this ranks right up there with useless tv/movie jargon “jump the shark“. I wish art or computers had as funny of terms.
